TX Visit

I went to TX to visit my parents and what was supposed to be a week trip, I conveniently turned into a 16 day trip:>) Dan was going to be out of town for a week straight so I decided to extend my stay. I'm sure they were ready to be rid of me by the end! Although, I'm pretty sure the Do wanted me to stay so that he could enjoy being out of his crate during the day:>)

Mom had a wonderful baby shower for me at their clubhouse. We received adorable gifts including onesies, sleepers (I'm finally figuring out the names of baby stuff), blankets, a stuffed bear, towels and robes. My parents were extremely generous and are buying baby Nugget's crib. Thanks Mom for a wonderful shower!






Mom, Aunt Lois and I ventured out to Babies R Us to attempt to register...WARNING...this is not fun...at least it wasn't fun to me. How are you supposed to know what to get??? And if you know what to get, how do you choose btw the ridiculous choices??? On top of that I was hungry and I'm not a shopper to begin with. This just made for a perfect storm. I had enough after about 45 minutes. Mom was having fun with the gun and registered me for about 20 receiving blankets. I'm thinking I'll need to clean up the registry:>) Thanks Mom and A. Lois for putting up with my crankiness that day!

Everytime Mom and Dad are up or we are down there, the Euchre tourny is a must. Dan and I ended up on the losing side. After Dan left, A. Lois became my partner and we were showing signs of becoming winners! It came down to the last night, we were 1 and 1 and again the Bubba/Violet team came out on top! Dan is convinced they have to be cheating somehow. Watch out you two...we're going to be prepared next time!

It was a great visit and good to see everyone, including the rest of the Allard clan! We're looking forward to the Ohio visits, since I won't be able to travel for a while after April!
