Happy 1st Birthday Camella Isabel Roehl!

People say when you get older and have kids that time flys by. That couldn't be more true. I can't believe our baby girl turned 1. She is so sweet and so much fun, we just melt when she gives us that adorable smile. My parents, brother and kids and Dan's parents came into town to celebrate the big 1st Birthday! Mel was great! She dug into her cake (really the first time she's had any amount of sugar...and she loved it!) and played with all of her new toys. Thank you everyone for your generosity.

So what is she up to these days? She's fully on table food and has switched to whole milk. We're getting ready to move off of bottles onto sippy cups, and we don't expect that to be an issue. She doesn't seem attached. Just the other day she took 10 steps on her own and is starting to do that on a more regular basis. Pretty soon, we won't be able to keep up with her. She "talks" a lot. It's actually quite funny to hear the inflections in that foreign language she's speaking. She says Dada, Mama, Done, All Done, Dog Dog, and Duck. She can climb the stairs with no problem, she doesn't know how to go down yet, I guess we need to get started on teaching her:). She still takes two naps a day and sleeps really well at night. She is definitely our daughter (for those that don't know, Dan and I are professional sleepers!).
