Our little Mella amazes us every day! When they say kids are like sponges, it couldn't be more true! Gramma and Pop Pop had gotten her an alphabet puzzle that looked to be too old for her and we didn't think she'd really get into it until much later...well, she's already mastered it! She is very close to being able to recite the alphabet song as well as count to 20! She knows lots of shapes, colors, animals and really, when we tell her what something is, she remembers it from then on. She talks in sentences and uses the correct grammar at times, I can't figure out how she knows to do that (for example, I say you dropped it and she says, I dropped it). She even does lots of sign language when she talks because of the Baby Einstein videos (which by the way, I highly recommend, she's learned a ton from these videos and for all of those out there that are against their child watching tv this young...get a grip!).
Way to go Mella!
