Sleepy Baby

Carmella and I are trying to get into a routine at home. Last night seemed to work perfectly, we'll have to see how tonight goes:) She must know that Daddy isn't home and decided to allow Mommy to sleep. She went over the Costa's and was happy and playful all day, she even got to go to school to help Aunt Becky with the Book Fair! She is loving Brian, Becky, and especially Kennedy! I'm so grateful that she is with such loving people while Dan and I are at work. Thank you Costa's for being so good to our baby girl!

Carmella got home at 5 and we hung out and played and she relaxed in her bouncer seat while I ate. Then it was her turn to eat, and we relaxed some more...then she fell asleep in my arms at 8:30. At 9 I took her upstairs and laid her on my bed where she continued to sleep soundly while Mommy got her HGTV fix.

At 10:30 I decided I should probably change her into her pj's and feed her...this girl did not want to get up! I had her stripped down naked and she barely opened her eyes. I got her pj's on and put her in her crib so I could go get her bottle. She finally woke up and started to make some noise. I thought...good, she'll get a full bottle in her and sleep well for me tonight. I got about 4 1/2 ounces in and she decided it was time to sleep. I cuddled her and put her to bed. All I have to say is Mel rocks! She slept till 7 this morning, yea!!!

She normally sleeps about 8 hours at night...but it seems like we're going to be getting our goal bedtime of 9pm sooner than I thought. I think we'll have to continue to give her one more bottle around 10:30 until she's taking 6 oz bottles to make sure she's getting at least 24 ounces of formula a day. Only time will tell!
